One way to fulfill the Joint Commission continuing education requirements is to use Self Study Courses. Scientific Enterprises, Inc. has been meeting this need for several years with a variety of self study courses for biomedical/clinical engineering, safety and hospital engineering personnel. These courses also are good for upward mobility or for employees to learn a new topic to improve their productivity.

Each course has self-administered exams and upon successful completion of the course a certificate is issued. (Payment must be received before a certificate is issued.) Additional exams can be provided at U.S. $5 for each exam i.e. extra exams for a course with three exams would be U.S. $15.

The prices include course text, exam(s), shipping and handling, grading exams and certificates. If a person does not score 70% on an exam, there is one free retake of an exam.  Additional retakes are $5 per exam.  Shipping and handling for overseas airmail is an additional US $5 for each course if not stated otherwise listed.
